Want to learn how to skate?
You’ve found the right place!
Tacoma Skating School starts all disciplines of skating in a fun, goal-oriented beginner class. Once you learn the basics you can then join the programs especially designed for figure skating, hockey, speed skating and additional ice sports.
You or your skater won’t just skate. They become rockets on ice. They become modern gladiators battling to find the back of the net, be the first to cross the finish line, or launch themselves high into the air. Olympic national governing bodies U.S. Figure Skating, USA Hockey and US Speed Skating, support Learn to Skate USA for the many health, social and developmental benefits gained through ice skating.

Classes will be starting approximately every 6 weeks on Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays.
Learn to Skate USA Membership is required prior to stepping on the ice.
We offer two packages for our Learn to Skate programs. One package includes rental skates and one package requires you to provide your own skates. When registering, please select the correct package.
Class schedule will be as follows:
-Mondays Basic Skills and Intro Classes will be at 5:45pm
-Wednesdays Basic Skills and Intro Classes will be at 10:45am
-Saturday Basic Skills Classes & Intro to Skating Classes- times are TBD, you will receive an email with your official time.
Please note: parents or family members that would like to skate during practice time with skaters, would need to have a Tacoma Learn to Skate Membership and purchase a Single Member Family Pass.
